If your leather feels a bit hard, or you want to break in something that is leather, rub it down with olive oil. Letting this soak into your leather (chair, shoes or coat) and then buffing it off after three or four hours, your leather will be soft to the touch.
PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS

Using olive oil on some leathers could lead to severe damage to the finish. Oils should not be used on leather (especially pigmented or finished leathers) as these will attract more dirt and oils and break down the finish on the leather.
