Toilet Macerator becomes Noisy

Submitted by BC Perks

If your toilet macerator has become noisy before you call out an engineer, just to overcharge you, try pouring 250ml of natural cooking oil (sunflower/corn) into the water as you flush.

Then flush clean water and see if it sounds any better.

Repeat the procedure if still noisy.

It has worked on my system and is well worth a try.

A few pence in oil may save you a hefty bill.
