Just use 3-4 packages of lemon koolaid mix. works great and will only cost you about 60 cents.

Do you add the koolaid in place of the dishwasher liquid/powder? I am thinking yes but need to be sure I'm not missing a step

Just a follow up to the koolaid in the dishwasher....I tried it. I used the liquid and koolaid together. Of course since there isn't alot of space in the dispenser I tried adding 1/2 & 1/2. It seemed to work well for that wash and a few more after. Guess it does work!
