Sometimes shampoos work better with a different brand of conditioner than with the "match". It took some experimenting, but I found that Herbal Essences conditioner used after Pert Plus gave me softer, lighter hair that looked cleaner longer.
I use Herbal Essence for oily hair and at first used an Alberto conditioner. (thumbsdown)! My hair tangled SO easily! (I have waist-length hair). So, now I have Suave conditioner along with Herbal Essence... my hair feels great and NO tangles!
