Chewing Gum Removal with hot water and active oxygen

Soak the article of clothing in a solution of 1 gallon HOT water and 3 scoops active oxygen (a popular trade name for this is Oxyclean) for about a half hour. Disolves the gum.
This is such a good tip. How did you ever find this out?

This is an awesome tip, it really worked. I found that it helped to rub the gum with a paper towel and it came right off!!

Make sure to rub gum with a paper towel and it ocmes right off.

this was deadly - gum was totally hardened and this softened it and worked like a dream came straight off on the paper towel

sat on chewing gum in restaurant, new jeans. made solution of oxygen cleaner,applied with toothbrush rubbed in for a few mins. gum scrapped off so easily. hurrah. thanks!
