Salt for a Sty

Put salt inside your eyelid, it burns very badly but it works very good. Don't put it on your pupil, put it in the upper eyelid so it will burn the bubble, or go to the clinic and buy polysporin for your eyes.

Salt water works wonders on a sty. Use water as hot as you can stand it. (Easy Way) Make in an old medicine bottle.Check the water tempature on inside of wrist like a baby bottle. Hold over eye and rinse.Add just a pinch of salt to get out the infection. It feels sooo amazing and it works great.

I have a sty right now and iwas in so much pain until i washed it out with the salt....it stung a bitat first but now my eye feels so much better and i can actually stand it!!

I tried the salt water in a medicine bottle it worked ok but it seemed like i had to repeat it a few time to actually get it to work.

I have a great big stye on my left eye. I am not sure if I want to try warm salty water. It's got to burn!! But it does make sense. You get a infection in your mouth, the doctor or dentist will tell you to use warm salty water! I might try it anyways!! Anything to get rid of this!!

i had a stye on my right eyelid for about 4 months. i never really cared that i had one so i thought it wud go away but now that my kids father mention to me almost everyday about it so i looked up how to remove a sty and here this pops up. and i thought yeah rite i might end up messing my eye more but in minutes of me rinsing the salt out my eye i noticed that it is going down. and trust i noe MY STY WAS HUGE! ND I JUST DID IT LIKE 5 MIN AGO! DA PAIN IS AN AWESOME FEELING TOO!!!!!!!!!!

I recently had a swollen eye so i put salt in a cup of boiling water then stirred it so it dissolved and then put it in the freezer so the water became freezing cold then i got some cotton wool and put it on my eye when it is closed. Its alot less painful but still takes the swelling down and ive noticed it also works with styes. Although you might have to do it more than once depending on how bad it is.

I have had this stye for 2 days and I want tit to go away. The teas bag toook down a bit of swelling, but not the reddness, pain, stinging, or burning. I want to try this method. Although wouldn't it just burn even more? Well, doctors do use it for sore throats...

I'm not sure about putting salt directly on your eye! Rather mix about 1/2 cup warm water with about 1/2 tsp to 1 tbsp salt. Soak a cotton wool ball or two in the mix and, leaning forward over a basin, drag the wet cotton ball over your closed eye. Repeat several times then pat excess dry with a clean towel.

i put a warm towel on mine and the swelling went down...i didnt know about the salt and water remedy till afterwards...i did the salt and water remedy and i believe it works...and it didnt burn that bad...now about the salt only...i dont know about all that....

I have a sty under my left eye lid. Its not huge but it makes my right eye look much smaller and my makeup doesnt look right. Its been there for about a year now. If I try the salt and water will it still WORK!? Help Plz

rinsing out your eye with salt water really does help a lot.. i even put salt directly on the sty and that burned like crazy but it seems to be working.. i called the general hospital hotline and they said that, i should rinse the eye with warm salt water 3 times a day and it should go down and disappear within a couple o days.

Salt water works for almost any infection! this has got to work...any body who hasnt used saltwater, give it a try :)
