This is the best cleaning tip I ever recieved. It only took me 5 minutes to remove the stains. Another helpful tip; I used a heavy duty Scotch Brite Pad with the toothe paste and it didn't remove the finish.

Thank You So Much!!! I thought my brand new wooden kitchen cabinet was ruined. It took all of 2 minutes with a paper towel and the marker stain was gone.

Sorry, but it didn't work Comments By: Anon on 2010-01-30
My 3 year old daughter took a washable marker to my sons desk. Needless to say, it came off of her hand but not the desk. I tried the toothpaste trick and it did not work. It didn't even phase it!

Worked like a charm! Comments By: JMac on 2010-11-07
Discovered permanent marker stains on my wood veneer table the day after an overnight visit from my partner's children. Felt sick about it as the table is only 6 months old. Tried a variety of methods before turning to the internet. This tip completely removed the stains and my table looks good as new. The veneer is undamaged, and I didn't need to use chemicals that might have damaged the glue under the veneer. MANY THANKS!
