If you have arfo hair then try to minimize brushing. Brush at night then wear a hairnet to bed, or treat yourself to a silk pillow. The more you brush, rub or mess with the more frizzy it gets.

deep condition. hot oil treatment, leave in conditioner. air dry or blow dry low heat. dont use boar bristle brush. use wide tooth comb
