Insomnia. Get Better Sleep for a Great Day!
Have you been finding it difficult to sleep all night long, a good healthy quality sleep that makes you feel totally refreshed when you wake in the morning? There are many ways that you can improve the quality of your sleep, which is what I want to tell you all about in this article. Getting better sleep and sleeping better does not mean that you have to spend lots of money or that you have to take a course, but getting better sleep is a habit that you can easily ‘get into’ if you change just a few things that you do daily.Â
Every person is different. Each person needs a different amount of sleep to feel good about their self and to function fully during the day. If you work hard at your job, manually every day, you may need more sleep than others, if you have a desk job with little exercise, you may need less. The amount of sleep that you need also is dependant on how old you are and more.Â
To get you started on understanding about how you are sleeping and how much more of less sleep that you need, you should write down how many hours you are sleeping for two or three weeks. As you continue to write down how many hours you have been sleeping at night, you should make a comment to yourself about how you feel in the morning. Do you feel great when you get four hours of sleep, six hours of sleep or perhaps it was nine hours of sleep was the best situation for your needs.Â
Looking over the comments that you wrote, you will find an average of how much sleep you need to feel productive, alive, and alert. If you find it difficult to get up in the morning on the average number of hours that you were getting during this time, you need to sleep more. Increasing the number of hours you are sleeping nightly is going to raise how alert you are on these days.Â
To get yourself on a pattern of getting enough sleep if you are a person that requires a lot of sleep, you should set a bed time and make sure that you try to get in bed by a certain time. Getting to bed at a certain time, every night is going to aid in your quest to feel great everyday! If you know you get up at a certain time every morning, you can count the hours back to figure when you should be going to bed or about when you should be going to bed for a good nights rest.Â
One thing that you should keep in mind is that you cannot make up for sleep that you lost last night tonight. If you were tired today, try your best to get your personal required amount of sleep tonight. Sleeping longer can make you feel just as groggy as when you did not get enough sleep.Â
Make yourself relax before bedtime. Think about what you find is most relaxing during your day. Possibly drinking a glass of milk or a cup of cool water can make some people feel relaxed. Other people will find that take a walk, taking a shower or a hot bath is going to relax some people. Reading the newspaper, reading a book, or watching television is going to relax some other people.Â
Some of the things that you should not do during the evening before you are getting ready to get to bed is heavy exercise. Getting your body moving and your heart pumping is going to make some people stay wide-awake, not able to get to sleep.Â
A few people are unable to get to sleep for other reasons. Insomnia can be a problem, if you do not know why you cannot sleep. At times, death, disease, stress and anxiety can be a cause for anxiety so people can’t sleep. Find out the cause of your insomnia, learn to deal with the problem and you will be able to sleep much better.Â
Try not to use sleeping pills if you do not have to. If you cannot stay in bed nine to ten hours, a sleeping pill is going to make you feel tired and groggy in the morning. Sleeping pills can become addictive, and your body will not be getting the rest that is needed.
