Make a cooling compress for swellings or muscle strain by placing several ice cubes in a plastic bag and then breaking them up with a rolling pin. Leave the bag of ice chips on the sore area for io minutes or so, then replace in the freezer. Repeat again after 15 minutes. This treatment will also help to ease a sore back.
