I have tried this, and it does work.

Salt and water doesn't work, so if you add baking powder it will surely just make it unbearable!!!

I'm going out this weekend with the most amazing girl ever. Today is Monday so I have four days to get better from this sore throat. I'm trying everything. This particular tip made me sick, 3 times. I know it works, I just can't handle the salt.

It works and no nasty Chemicals either. You can also try chewing fresh Oregano or Thyme tea, or if you stand it eat some raw garlic. Garlic is great!

I tried this just now after a night of poor sleep and discomfort and my throat instantly felt better! I might have to do this again in a few hours, but for now my throat is no longer sore!
