It does not take a too intelligent thief to work out that our homes are full of gifts, goodies, and alcohol during the Christmas break. Thieves too have families and they like to give gifts, don't let them give away your presents.
Be aware when you are out at parties, when you nip round to friends or neighbors. Always lock the door behind you.
If you do keep your lights on, on your Christmas tree. Hide the presents away somewhere else. A thief can look through your window and see all the gifts lit up under you tree.
