To remove wax from carpeting you should first scrape away any excess wax with a plastic knife or a dull butter knife. Then, using a warm iron and a clean cloth or even a paper bag simply place the iron on top of the cloth over the wax and as you iron it will adhere to the cloth instead of the carpet. This is one of the easiest methods of removing wax from the carpeting!
Continue moving the cloth around as you pick up the wax so you are always using a clean section of cloth that is being used to pick up the wax from the carpeting. If a little grease stain remains sprinkle on baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) and let sit overnight before vacuuming which will remove the grease residue and deodorize at the same time!
If you find that the wax had a bright coloring in it be sure to use a bit of stain remover of your favorite choice before ironing so that the coloring does not get dried into the carpeting.
