All paint solvents are flammable and carry a risk of brain damage if inhaled excessively. You may well have seen what they can do to paint. Well do not let them do it to your skin. Especially not the skin of your children. Use only in a well-ventilated room. Use all solvents as sparingly as possible and with extreme caution. Wear a mask and gloves. Contact with the skin can cause dermatitis. If you get paint stripper on your skin, wash your hand under cold running water for at least 10 minutes. Many chemical strippers are caustic, so it may even be advisable to wear goggles.
Alternative
Whenever possible, strip paint using a gas or paraffin blowtorch or heat gun.
