Ballpoint Ink. Tips to remove Ballpoint Ink stains on upholstery
If you have a ball point ink stain on your upholstery, wet the stain with a cotton ball that is wet with alcohol. Dab at the stain until you can’t bring out any more of the ink from the upholstery. Apply a few drops of dry cleaning fluid to the ball point ink stain. Blot off the excess moisture bringing out the stain with the dry cleaning fluid. Repeat with a clean towel as long as you are bringing out more of the ball point ink stain. Make a mixture of water and a few drops of a clear, bleach free detergent and spray over the ink stained area. Blot and dab to bring out the moisture. Try not to rub the upholstery so you don’t stretch out the upholstery too much. Repeat as long as you see more of the ball point ink coming out of the upholstery. Rinse with a spray of clear water. Blot and dab the stained area with a clean towel to bring out the moisture and any remaining suds. Rinse your upholstery one last time using a half and half mixture of vinegar and water. Blot and dab with a clean towel to bring out moisture and any remaining ink. Repeat as needed for stain free upholstery.
