Chocolate. Tips to remove Chocolate stains

Chocolate comes in many forms, such as a candy bar, a drink, or a little gooey something.

But when chocolate is a stain on your upholstery it looks like something bigger than what it really is.

If the stain is fresh or dried, you can use these cleaning tips to get rid of that chocolate stain on your upholstery. Scrape the big chucks of chocolate off the upholstery if you have too.

Don’t stretch out the material; just pick up the big pieces if there are any.If the chocolate is more ground in, be sure to dab and blot the area to pick up any moisture in the upholstery before you get started on fighting that dark stain.

Now it is time to wet the stained area of your upholstery using a cotton ball or paper towel that is damp with either some alcohol or a bit of dry cleaning solution.

Wet the upholstery, wetting the chocolate stain, and then dab with a clean cloth or towel to bring out the moisture from the upholstery.

Keep repeating this and changing your clean towels until you have gotten the entire stain out or until you see that you are not bringing any more stain out of the upholstery.

If you still have a bit of chocolate stain in the upholstery, use a mixture of water and a few drops of clear bleach free dish liquid or detergent, and spray over the stained area. Blot and dab until dry.

Repeat this until your chocolate stain is gone or you are unable to get any more stain out. Rinse the upholstery with a spray of water, then dab and blot until you have brought out all the suds and soap from the upholstery.

Rinse the area one last time with a mixture of half and half water and vinegar. This will bring out those deep stains and clean the upholstery at the same time. Spray the mixture on, not making the upholstery too wet, and then dab and blot off the moisture leaving the upholstery almost dry to touch after cleaning.
