Salads are a part of our every day life, and salad dressing accidents can leave oily stains on your clothes. Use these great tips to get those oily stains out.Â
Be sure to blot the liquid before trying to wipe it to far so that you don’t spread the stain. Blot as much of the liquid on your material as you can. If the item is dry clean only be sure to tell your drycleaner that you have a particular stain you need to have worked our.Â
Pre-treat the area with a stain stick; there are many name brands. If you don’t have stain stick you can rub clear, bleach free detergent on the stain. Hand wash this items and leave it air dry to make sure the stain is out.Â
If the stain remains, and your material instructions state that you can use bleach on this item, soak the material in bleach and water or colorfast bleach and water for about an hour. Rinse and air dry. Launder as usual without drying in the dryer until you know the stain is gone for good.Â
If the stain still remains, soak your material in a bucket of warm water and two cups of vinegar. Let this sit for about an hour, rinse and air dry.
