Vomit. Tips to remove Vomit stains on carpets
Vomit is the aftermath of those who have been sick in your home, and often there is little you can do to prevent these stains, but you can get them out using these great tips: The first thing that you need to do to get this stain out is to scrape up all the excess vomit on the floor. Use a butter knife or dustpan if needed to scrape up all the big pieces and then a plastic knife to scrape out the excess liquid will work well. Take a paper towel and blot up as much of the excess liquid that you can so your carpet is not as wet and you can work on the stain itself. Using a spray bottle, make a mixture of a cup of water and a 1/8 cup of ammonia. Spray this on the vomit stain and blot up the moisture with a clean towel. Repeat this until you are not bringing any more of the stain up or the stain is gone. If you have a bit of vomit stain left in your carpeting, make a spray mixture of two cups of water and two tablespoons of clear bleach free dish liquid. Spray this on the stain and blot it up. Continue this as long as you are bringing additional vomit stains up. Rinse your carpet using a spray of water and blot it up with a paper towel. Continue this until you find no more suds or ammonia coming from the carpeting. Let the carpet dry for about half an hour. If you have any remaining vomit stains in the carpeting, use a spray bottle of peroxide and spray the stained area. Blot the moisture up and repeat until the stain is gone.
