Makeup. Tips to remove Makeup stains on carpets
To remove makeup on the carpeting, scrape or pickup as much of the big pieces as you can, and scrape off any makeup that is ground into the carpet. After you have removed as much of the excess on the carpeting, start cleaning with a rubbing alcohol. Wet a cloth with rubbing alcohol and dab the area of the carpet that is stained. Do not pour the rubbing alcohol right on the carpet, but just on your cloth and dab the stained area. Keep doing this until you are not getting any more coloring up on your cloth. If you aren’t bringing any more stain up, but you still have a stain, move on to the next step. The clean stained area with a mixture of one cup of water and two tablespoons of liquid soap (clear coloring and without bleach). Just spray this on the stain and blot up with a clean paper towel. Keep doing this until you aren’t bringing any more makeup out of the carpeting. Rinse the carpet using just water and a paper towel. Spray and blot until you don’t have any more suds coming from the carpeting. Allow the carpet to dry for an hour or two to see if you have any remaining stain. If you have a bit of makeup stain left remaining in the carpeting, use your clean cloth and peroxide. Spray the peroxide on the stain and blot up. Repeat this but then leave it sit on the stain for about an hour. Spray again and blot up to remove additional colored stains. Repeat this process as needed until the makeup stain is removed.
