Bleach is often used through out your home and is easily spilled. If you have just spilled bleach, reach for paper towels or a cloth and start blotting up the excess liquid. Adding water to dilute the bleach may save the area from becoming discolored it you act fast, but at the same time, you could be pushing the stain out further.
Bleach is going to stain and discolor whatever it has landed on and once this has happened there is not much that you can do.
