Most casseroles can be made up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated and other times some people will put them in plastic containers and freeze them for a few days in advance. When you are making extra casseroles for using later, just be sure and add 15 or 20 minutes to the cooking time to compensate for having the extra food in the oven. I also make two casseroles at once and freeze one for later use and saving power cooking a second time and you will often find that the second time around they taste even better!
When covering casseroles for in the fridge, spray the foil with cooking spray so it doesn't stick to your toppings.
