Litter box. Keep your cat litter box smelling fresh
Submitted by Domestic Goddess
Here's what I've found to be helpful for keeping my cats' (it's plural now! Got a new kitty who was left on the vet's doorstep) litter box smelling fresh.
Scoop urine and poops out frequently...more frequently for 2 or more cats.
Use charcoal padding or charcoal air filters in the box.
Sprinkle baking soda in with the litter when needed.
Sprinkle cedar chips in with the litter when needed.
Clean and hose the box out a couple times a year.
Use a natural air spritzer in the box (orange works well) when needed.
not so sure about the orange

I don't think spritzing orange or anythoung citrus in or around your cats litter box is a good idea as it may put your cat off using it's litter. generally cats dislike citrus smells!!
A better way

Sprinkle a little Arm & Hammer Carpet and Room Detorizor for pets into the litter box every time you clean. This can also be used in between cleaning to freshen up the litter box.
NO CITRUS

Felies do not like citrus. Use citrus sprayson your countertops to keep cats off.
