That was great! Rubbing alcohol on a microfiber cloth took it 1 sec to come off and I didn't even have to rub it, just one swipe and it was off - poof! I have had this mark on my monitor for 5 months before I decided to find an answer. I think I found the perfect site for the advice I needed. Thank you!

The lady in the comments with the micro fiber cloth was right on the money. I sed a q-tip for fear of making the marker worse, that way I could get right on the lines of the stain. No rubbing was necesarry and i wiped dry with tissue. Saved my 3 year old granddaughter a lot of (Isorries)

I used WD-40 to remove black permanent marker from my leather wing back chairs. I was afraid that hairspray would leave a sticky ring - am I wrong?
