Hair brushes Clean brushes with baking soda

Clean natural oil build-up and hair product residue from combs and brushes by soaking them in a solution of 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda (bicarbonate of soda) in a small basin of warm water. Rinse and allow to dry.

I tried the baking soda in hot water and swirled them around for a minute. They came clean.

Works Great! Comments By: Anon on 2007-01-01
I cleaned all hair out of both my brushes, one a big flat brush and the other a metal round brush. I rubbed them both together (easy way of getting hair out of the round brush.) Made a mixture of hottest tap water, used 1 tbsp of baking soda and shot of dish soap. Rubbed brushes together again for about a minute. And brushes were all shiney and new again.

Baking Soda is the bomb! Comments By: Patti on 2009-12-01
Not only does baking soda clean hairbrushes, it's the perfect, chemical-free way to clean almost anything, including fine jewelry. My hairstylist turned me on to cleaning my hair brushes with it. Now I can't live without the stuff!
