When your paper shredder needs sharpening, fold a piece of kitchen aluminum the size of a regular 8 1/2 X 11"sheet of paper and run it through the shredder. Repeat once again and your shredder will work like new!
So simple, but it works!!!

Thank you so much for posting this tip. I really didn't want to go buy a new shredder, and after doing what you said I now don't! I used Heavy duty aluminum foil, double thickness. Ran two paper sized pieces through and it is now shredding like a charm!
