3. TEA TREE OIL. A strong antiseptic. In fact, studies have shown that tea tree oil can be as effective as the popular antifungal medications for fungal infections. Dosage: apply undiluted tea tree oil to the infected area three times daily. Never ingest tea tree oil, use externally only. Tea tree oil can cause serious side effects and even death if taken internally.Â
4. LAVENDER OIL. Lavender oil fights ringworm, penetrating deep into the skin and helping heal infections and minimizing scarring of skin tissue. It also reduces inflammation and itching. Dosage: add ten drops of lavender oil to bath water or apply 10 drops of lavender essential oil diluted with a tea spoon of olive oil directly to skin to treat ringworm infections.Â
